New C Class Now On Sale
The refreshed Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon and Estate have gone on sale, bringing a range of new engines along with new onboard tech and driver assistance features.
Starting first deliveries from July, the updated model is priced from £33,180 for the petrol-powered C 200 SE Saloon and £50,875 for the Estate.
Engine line-up brings a choice of one diesel or two petrol units. The starting point is the all-new 191bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine in the C200, which gets a 48V mild hybrid system that increases power by an extra 14hp. Available in rear-wheel or 4MATIC all-wheel drive, the engine offers an official combined cycle figure of up to 46.3mpg (4MATIC: 42.2 mpg) with CO2 starting from 136g/km of CO2 (4MATIC: 148g/km or 156g/km).
The C 220 d takes the 191bhp 2.0-litre diesel from the E-Class, which offers an official combined figure up to 61.4mpg and CO2 emissions from 117g/km.
At the top of the range is the 385bhp 3.0-litre V6 biturbo petrol in the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC, which gains an extra 23bhp and 32lb.ft of torque from before. The saloon can deliver up to 30.4 combined mpg and emits 213 g/km of CO2, while the estate can achieve 29.4 mpg and emits 220g/km.
All models come as standard with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
Three trim lines available: SE; Sport; AMG Line. Standard equipment on the SE includes Agility Control comfort suspension, 17-inch alloys, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, reversing camera, 10.25-inch media display, heated front seats, DAB radio, SD card-based navigation system and Speedtronic cruise control.
Options include a 12.3-inch digital cockpit display, a Driving Assistance package (£1,695) and air suspension (£895).
